Bromsgrove Hockey Club was formed
in 1890 and is based in St. Godwalds Road, Aston
Fields. We currently have four men's team, three
ladies' team and a thriving junior section.
New members are always welcome
We are always keen to take on new
members. Whether you have played hockey before,
or if you are are completely inexperienced, we would
be delighted to accomodate you in one of the teams.
Please feel free to attend one of our training sessions and introduce yourself to the coach. Alternatively, contact Club Secretary Clive Robinson (see contacts).
Training
Training takes place every week during
the season and is currently based at Bromsgrove
School. Players of all abilities can benefit from
these sessions, and we encourage all members to
attend if possible.
Training has now finished for the Christmas break and will resume in the new year. Senior training resumes in 2008 on Thursday 10th January, and Junior training on Sunday 13th January.
Our social scene
Bromsgrove Hockey Club has a thriving
social scene and parties are held frequently. For
example, we have recently held charity events, discos
and black-tie parties. Most events are mixed, and
as always, new members are encouraged to attend.
Touring
Most seasons Bromsgrove Hockey Club
goes on at least one tour to play in tournaments against other
clubs. These tours usually take place during the
close season. We have recently been involved in
mixed events at Henley on Thames and Chester. There is also a tour to Amsterdam in March 2008.
