Can you help us reach our goal of raising £500,000 by 2028 to make necessary refurbishments to the Astro 4 All pitch at Bromsgrove Hockey Club?

Bromsgrove Hockey Club has announced a huge £500k fundraising target and is hoping local businesses along with the community will come forward to provide greatly needed financial support to achieve this goal.

Opened in 2016 the pitch has made a huge impact on the provision of hockey in Bromsgrove, and is also relied on for numerous external clubs like Walking Sports and local football squads.

The typical life-cycle for an astroturf is 10 years, and through the continued maintenance efforts since it opened in 2016, the latest forecast is that we have until 2028 before things become critical.

Earlier this year we enlisted private contractors to provide an estimate for the works and based on a recent survey and cost calculations (allowing for inflation) the pitch will need another £500k investment to make necessary refurbishments or be forced to close.

The club and its volunteers have already begun developing a 5-year strategy to raise funds through organised events and community outreach...

We we will shortly be setting up a fundraising page where you can make personal donations to our goal - watch this space.

We'd love more local businesses to become involved. One way to get started is by registering for one of our annual sponsorship packages which also means you could get your business information signposted at the pitch.

Our current local sponsors include the likes of:

  • Bromsgrove Ladies Circle
  • JKH Healthcare
  • Belvedere IT Support
  • The Oakhalls Physiotherapy
  • C Erison Shopfitting
  • L G Harris Trust (Harris Brush)

If you are able to support us or wish to discuss ways in which your business may be able to bring us closer to this goal, please contact our Sponsorship Officer James Hubscher directly, details below.
