Bromsgrove Hockey Club is excited to announce its new 6-week training programs for Juniors age 5-16, starting from week commencing 19th April 2021.

We can’t wait to get back to playing the sport we love! Following recent ease in government restrictions and with support from England Hockey, we can now safely return to play in groups of max-30 participants.

With support from our coaches and volunteers, the following training schedule has been launched and costs just £15 per player for the entire 6-week period.

We welcome NEW and existing juniors to sign up and secure their place now as spots are limited. Please read our information on registering below.

IMPORTANT - Please also make sure you read and understand our Covid Guidelines below before registering your interest. BHC operates a strict Covid-19 policy which must be adhered to by both juniors and parents/guardians so that our players can enjoy the sport as safely as possible.

* Players should arrive at least 15 minutes early to register attendance and so we can ensure all players are on the pitch on time for the start of their sessions.

U6/8/10 sessions are mixed boys and girls, U12/14 are single sex training. We are also very aware that a lot of young people have been without sport for the last 12 months so our sessions will be organised accordingly, to allow for the anticipated variable fitness levels.

BADGERS HOCKEY (U16/-)

Saturdays16:15 – 17:1524th April – 29th May

We’ll also be running Badgers Hockey on Saturdays from 4pm beginning 24th April, where juniors can enjoy mixed 7 or 11 a-side gameplay.

These sessions are only suitable for players aged 5-16 who demonstrate sufficient levels of skill and have previous hockey experience and is therefore not suitable for players brand-new to the sport.

For new players, if you’re aged 14-16 and just starting out, we encourage you to get in touch to discuss all future training opportunities with Bromsgrove Hockey Club. Our Men’s and Ladies’ squads (for players age 13+) are also running various sessions on weekday evenings through the summer.

NEXT STEPS FOR NEW PLAYERS

All players must be set up on our digital platform ‘Pitchero’, for Track and Trace notification prior to their initial attendance.

Please forward your child(ren)’s details including name, age, DOB, sex, and playing experience (if applicable) to bromsgrovehcnewplayer@gmail.com.

We will contact you to confirm contact details (name, email, phone number) for at least one parent/guardian who will be set up with a Pitchero login to oversee the child accounts, complete all safeguarding information, and receive future communications from us with regards to their sessions.

(Please note due to our Covid Guidelines, training groups are limited to 30 participants and although we make every effort to ensure maximum participation by separating the pitch accordingly, we may have to operate a first-come, first allocated system if numbers dictate.)

Payment will be generated and completed through Pitchero (accessible via our website and the App – Pitchero CLUB).

You can also browse our website for more information about all our playing opportunities and we encourage you to Find Us on Facebook @bromsgrovehc and follow us for news and updates from across the club.

EXISTING MEMBERS

Please email helenlawranceodonnell@gmail.com confirming the session your child would like to attend. The relevant Pitchero package will be generated and we would ask for payment to be made prior to the first session.
