Opening Game for Bromsgrove Mixed X1 v Worcester Mixed X1

The newly formed Bromsgrove Mixed X1 arrived at St Godwald's, bright eyed and in good order for a warm-up and team talk on Sunday 2nd December. Local opposition Worcester were ready and waiting whilst the Bromsgrove men and women found their places and readied themselves.

Lots of simple passing and pressing forward led to a neat tap in to the Worcester goal from new girl, Kate Adams. This started off the scoreline for Bromsgrove but this was followed shortly afterwards with a equalising goal from Worcester. The 1st half finished 1-1.

Then it really began to ramp up with the young Bromsgrove team, which included 6 U16's, literally running rings around the opposition with goal after goal, the highlight being 4 goals from Elliot Morris.

Final score 9 -1 win

An excellent start for a young team, brimming with confidence.
