Our 2nd Pre-Season friendly (well it was Redditch) a good team effort and performance. A game where we had a squad of 11, and a few players missing I could not be prouder, not only where there a few new faces but also a new formation of 4-3-3.
With a squad of 11 we were playing a Redditch side that had 3-4 1st team players who played in the following games verses our 1st team, a hot September day where the score I would say was unjust if it had not been for 3 wonder goals 2 of which where executed by one of Redditch's 1st team players, Bromsgrove gave their heart and soul which I cannot ask for anything more, playing a fast paced simple but effective hockey style. Our work rate and early passing games had a real impact on the creating of some real good team moves.
By Half time Redditch had Scored 2 goals but Bromsgrove had created several chances just missing that touch in the Redditch last quarter, but it will come in time.
In the 2nd Half with a few tweaks to players positions and a slight change in tactics Bromsgrove created even more chances still keeping shape and working hard but then following an injury at the back to James H we were reduced to 10 men, but that did not stop the way the lads work and stuck to the game plan still creating 3-4 chances that could have easily resulted in a couple of goals, Dan S sliding in at the back post for the ball just to get caught in his feat to Mark W hitting the post.
Final score ending 4-0 to Redditch, an outstanding team performance and effort considering it was 11 vs 14 but there where definitely some stand out performances from, Kyle D, James B, Dan S and Cameron O.
Again, I cannot be prouder, and this gives us a good platform to build on.
Well Done Lads!!!!
