England Hockey Player Pathway Development for Juniors
IMPORTANT - Development Centre sessions commence this Friday 20th September and 27th September at Stourport Sports Club.
The Player Pathway is an England Hockey initiative which aids enthusiastic junior players in realising their potential and introduces them to the opportunities of playing for their County.
Progression through the player pathway starts with Development Centre Sessions.
We're excited to announce dates for this seasons Worcestershire Development Centre taster sessions, aimed at players NEW to the Player Pathway or those that have previously only attended the development phase.

Please arrive at 6.30pm to register for each session. If you wish to attend a development session please just turn up, register on the night and bring payment of £5 (cash only) to each session you attend.
These taster sessions are primarily for boys and girls of year of birth 2008, 2007 and 2006 (but older players born in 2005, 2004 and 2003 can attend). Players born after 2008 cannot attend the Player Pathway this year. Players who have previously been in the Player Pathway do NOT have to attend any of the Development Centre sessions but are welcome to do so.
Following on from Development Centre sessions, players may opt into the second stage of the Player Pathway, the Academy Centre. To be considered for the Academy Centre players must attend the relevant age group assessment. These will take place on Friday 4th and Sunday 6th October 2019 as detailed below. There is no charge for these sessions.

Players who are selected for the Academy Centre will be asked to commit to 6 Friday evening training sessions and 3-4 Sunday fixtures between November and May. Full details will be passed on following the assessments.

Worcestershire have also inferred U8,U10, U12 and U14 sessions will be announced shortly and it's anticipated that these will start at the end of October. Sessions will likely follow the same format as last year.
